Frank Manfredi

Attorney Frank Manfredi graduated from Fairfield University in 1973 in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. From college, he went on to Western New England College School of Law where he graduated Cum Laude in 1976. While in law school, he authored and edited case comments for publication in Western New England College School of Law, Case Commentary, as Student Bar Assocation Representative.

He then moved on to practicing law in Milford, Connecticut for two years then joined the U. S. Navy in 1978 serving on active duty in the Judge Advocate General’s Corp. for almost six years.

Mr. Manfredi then served another 20 years in the Naval Reserve and retired as a Captain in 2004.

In 1981, he moved to Norwich with the Navy and upon leaving active duty entered private practice with Cotter & Greenfield becaming a partner in 1987. The firm later became Cotter, Greenfield, Manfredi & Lenes, P.C. and Attorney Manfredi continues to practice as a partner concentrating on personal injury, civil litigation, and criminal matters, as well as real estate and commercial transactions. Attorney Manfredi was appointed as a Judge of the Mohegan Gaming Disputes Court in 2002, and continues to sit on that Court as well as the Mohegan Court of Appeals.

Civic Involvement:

At various times he has served on the Board of Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Southeastern Connecticut; Vice President of the Norwich-Quinebaug Cancer Society; Legal Counsel and Board of Directors of the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce; the Board of Trustees, Eastern Connecticut Community Foundation; alternate and regular member of the Norwich Commission on the City Plan; a former member of the Norwich Personnel and Pension Board, and a reader for CRIS Radio for 5 years. Currently, Attorney Manfredi is Vice Chairman of the Norwich Democratic Town Committee, and is a Volunteer Firefighter and Secretary with the Yantic Volunteer Fire Engine Company honored this year to be chosen as the Yantic Volunteer Firefighter of the Year in 2007.

Mr. Manfredi is actively involved in the Hatian Health Foundation, having made three trips to Haiti with its founder, Dr. Jeremiah Lowney, helping deliver medical service to Haitian residents.

Mr. Manfredi serves as Vice President on the Norwich Heritage Cultural Committee and as Trustee on the United Italian Society of Norwich, and was also chosen this year as the Italian Citizen of the Year.
